- CCDC22 is a recently identified coiled-coil domain-containing protein that has been shown to bind copines, which are calcium dependent, membrane-binding proteins that may function in calcium signaling. In rat, CCDC22 has been observed to localize in multiple regions of the brain, including the prefrontal and somatosensory cortex, dentate gyrus and thalamus, and in the ipsilateral motor neurons of the spinal cord after sciatic nerve transection suggesting that it may play a role in neuronal injury response. The human CCDC22 gene has been identified as a novel candidate gene for syndromic X-linked intellectual disability (XLID). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 20ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: 293 Cell Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
