- Alpha1D-adrenergicreceptors(alpha1D-ARs)couple to Gq/11 and participate directly in sympathetic regulation of systemic blood pressure by vasoconstriction. alpha1D-AR can form hetero-oligomers with alpha1B receptors. alpha1D-AR transcripts are abundant in prostate and aorta. alpha1A adrenergic receptors(alpha1A-ARs) mediate actionsin the sympathetic nervoussystem through the binding of the catecholamines, epinephrine and norepinephrine. alpha1A-adrenergic receptors couple to Gq/11 and regulate blood pressure due to changesin vascular tone and cardiac output. Alternative splicing of this gene generatesfour isoforms with distinct C-termini, and the different expression profile of these subtypes produces distinct patterns of activation. alpha1A-AR transcripts are abundant in heart, brain, liver, and prostate. alpha1A-AR transcriptsizes of 6.0, 4.0, 3.0, and 2.0kb have been detected in liver. alpha1A-AR transcriptsizes of 6.0, 4.0 and 3.0 kb transcripts have been detected in heart, and 6.0kb and 4.0kb transcripts have been detected in prostate. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:200-1:1000 ELISA: 1:20,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:300 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
