- Recognizes a cell surface antigen of 40-42kD which is similar to the human cell surface antigen designated as CD32. It has therefore been hypothesized that may recognize a minor isoform of the ovine homologue of human CD32 (Hopkins, J. et. al. 1996). CD32 is one of a group of Fc receptors belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily and involved in phagocytosis of opsonized microbes. CD32, also known as the Fc gamma RII, acts as a low affinity receptor for IgG. The antigen mediates several functions including endocytosis, activation of secretion, cytotoxicity and immunomodulation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
