Weitere Details:: MMP2 protein of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family is involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. MMP2 is an enzyme which degrades type IV collagen, the major structural component of basement membranes. It plays a role in endometrial menstrual breakdown, regulation of vascularization and the inflammatory response. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa110-660 from human MMP2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~64.7kD (576aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
