FGG is the gamma component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein comprised of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Following vascular injury, FGG is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin which is the most abundant component of blood clots. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa27-437 from human FGG, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Swiss/Uniprot: P02679 Molecular Weight: ~48.9kD (434aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
