- Protein G is a monomeric protein expressed by Strepococcus bacteria. Binds IgG including all human and mouse subclasses; does not bind IgM, IgA, IgE, or bovine serum albumin Recombinant protein corresponding to Streptococcus (stain G148) monomeric protein, lacking cysteine residues; Mr 22kD (Mr by SDS-PAGE -32kD), expressed in E. coli. Contains a Streptavidin Binding Peptide (SBP) tag Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Though not tested, Western Blot, Purification and Immunoprecipitation have been reported in literature. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
