- CD276, otherwise known as B7-H3, is a ubiquitously expressed transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the B7 family of co-stimulatory molecules, which acts as both a positive and negative regulator of T-cell-mediated immune responses. CD276 is highly expressed in bone during embryogenesis, and can be induced on dendritic cells and monocytes by inflammatory cytokines. CD276 has been implicated in the development of acute and chronic transplant rejection, and is reported to have therapeutic potential as a regulator of cell-mediated immune responses to cancer, particularly in conjunction with anti-angiogenic therapy. In mice, CD276 has been linked with the development of pathogenic Th2 cells during the induction phase of allergic asthma (Nagashima et al. 2008). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: P3U1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
