Weitere Details:: CD36 is a type-B scavenger receptor that is necessary for the formation of foam cells and thereby atherosclerotic lesions. This membrane glycoprotein can internalize fatty acids which activate proliferator-activated receptor ã and stimulate further expression of CD36. This positive feedback loop combined with the murine CD36 knock-out studies reinforces the importance of CD36 in lipid metabolism. Additionally CD36 is needed for the phagocytosis of P. falciparum infected erythrocytes, retinal pigment epithelial cell photoreceptor fragments and post-apoptotic monocytes and neutrophils. CD36 expression has been monitored during hematopoietic cell differentiation and may be an indicator of tumor spreading in lymphocytic leukemia. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:200 Immunofluorescence: 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
