- CD11b is a cell adhesion molecule that acts as a receptor for cell surface ligands such as intracellular adhesion molecules (ICAMs) or soluble ligands. Integrins are heterodimeric proteins that contain an a chain and b chain. Integrin åM combines with the Integrin ∫2 to form a leukocyte-specific integrin referred to as macrophage receptor 1 (Mac-1), or inactivated-C3b (iC3b) receptor 3 (CR3). Integrin åM/∫2 is important in the adherence of neutrophils and monocytes to stimulated endothelium, and also in the phagocytosis of complement coated particles. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Functional Studies. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 0.5-1ug/million cells Immunofluorescence: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 0.5-1ug/500ug protein lysate Immunohistochemistry: Frozen: 0.5-1.0ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human monocytes & granulocytes. Human lymph nodes and tonsils. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. APC is light sensitive. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
