Weitere Details:: Swi6 is also known as chromatin-associated swi6 protein and repression of silent mating type loci protein. This protein recognizes and binds to histone H3 tails that are methylated at Lys-9, leading to epigenetic repression. Swi6 is also involved in the repression of the silent mating-type loci MAT2 and MAT3 and it may be resposible for the compaction of MAT2/3 into a heterochromatin-like conformation which represses the transcription of these silent cassettes. Swi6 also interacts with the cohesin subunit psc3. Swi6 has a nuclear localization and contains 2 chromo domains. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:30,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:3000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
