- CLPH (Casein-Like phosphoprotein) is a recently discovered, evolutionarily conserved, testis-specific cytoplasmic protein expressed exclusively in postmeiotic germ cells in rat spermatogenesis. CLPH is a novel casein kinase 2-phosphorylated disordered and calcium-binding protein that displays strong variation in relative expression levels during spermatogenesis. It is frequently associated with the mitochondrial inner membrane during the last steps of spermatid differentiation and is involved in the extremely complex structural rearrangements occurring in haploid germ cells during spermiogenesis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human Testis Tissue Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
