- This monoclonal antibody is specific to progesterone receptor and shows m inimal cross-reaction with other members of the family. Progesterone receptor is expres sed as two major isoforms, PR-A (81kD) and PR-B (116kD). Expression of PgR has been suggested t o reflect a intact estrogen regulatory machinery and therefore, predict b etter clinical response to endocrine therapy than ER alone. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 0.5-1ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml for 2h @ RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: T47-D Cells or Breast Cancers Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
