Weitere Details:: Prosaposin is a highly conserved 66kD glycoprotein which contains separate domains in tandem for four saposins, A, B, C, and D. These saposins are involved in lysosomal hydrolysis of GM1 ganglioside, gluco- and galactocerebrosides, sulfatides, and sphingomyelin and other sphingolipids. It also exists as a secretory protein in body fluids. Deficiency of PSAP saposin-B, PSAP saposin-C and PSAP saposin-D region are the cause of a variant of metachromatic leukodystrophy, atypical Gaucher disease and Tay-Sachs disease respectively. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. The gene maps to 10q21-q22 region of human chromosome. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Sandwich): Detection limit is ~0.1ng/ml as a capture antibody. Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
