- Leucine-rich repeat FLI-I interacting protein 1 (LRRFIP1/FLAP-1) is a MyD88-interacting signal protein which mediates either induction or repression of TLR signaling. Flap-1 directly interacts with beta-catenin and activates beta-catenin-dependent transcription activity. Flap-1 or LRRFIP1 was also shown to bind the TNF- -308 promoter polymorphism site, suggesting its possible role in the regulation of TNF- production. FLAP-1 along with LRRFIP2 and FLIIH serve as a balance in coordinating inflammatory response after infection, and may act as a novel target in the control of agonist-induced TLR-mediated inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
