- Human Elongin A (EloA), otherwise known as transcription elongation factor B polypeptide 3, a general transcription elongation factor, stimulates RNA polymerase II transcription elongation beyond template-encoded arresting sites. Elongin exists as a heterotrimer consisting of an A (A1, A2 or A3), B and C subunit. Subunit A is transcriptionally active, with activity strongly enhanced by binding to the dimeric complex of the elongin regulatory subunits B and C (elongin BC complex), which is mediated by subunit C. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
