- MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000. The MHC-encoded butyrophilin, BTN2A1, is a cell surface glycoprotein related to the extended family of B7 costimulatory molecules. BTN2A1 mRNA is expressed in most human tissues, but protein expression is significantly lower in leukocytes. The protein is an integral plasma membrane B box protein involved in lipid, fatty-acid and sterol metabolism. Recent studies reveal that the protein can negatively regulate T cell proliferation and cytokine production. Additionally, genetic studies have described polymorphisms in the protein which are reported to be associated with disorders such as sarcoidosis, myositis andulcerative colitis. Human BTN2A1 gene is located in 6p22.1. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
