- SMARCE1/BAF57 protein is part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SWI/SNF, which is required for transcriptional activation of genes normally repressed by chromatin. SMARCE1/BAF57 can bind to 4-way junction DNA (which is thought to mimic the topology of DNA as it enters or exits the nucleosome), either alone or when in the SWI/SNF complex. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
