- AAK1 is a serine/threonine kinase that is thought to coordinate the recruitment of AP-2 to receptors containing tyrosine-based internalization motifs by phosphorylating the mu2 subunit. There is strong evidence that this protein is the endogenous mu 2 kinase and plays a regulatory role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis, including the regulation of fatty acid synthesis and cholesterol synthesis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
