- Sweet potato acid phosphatase has been used in a study as a pre-column enzyme reactor via a covalent bond with glutaraldehyde and aminopropyl controlled-pore glass. It has also been used in a study to investigate the use of tyrosine, histidine, and cysteine as ligands for Mn(III) in sweet potato phosphatase. Source: Sweet Potato Purity: ≥300 U/mg protein Activity: ≥30 U/mg solid Unit Definition: One unit will catalyze the hydrolysis of one micromole of p-nitrophenylphosphate to p-nitrophenol and phosphate/minute at pH 4.8 and 37°C.
