Weitere Details:: The Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen GlcB (malate synthase) catalyzes synthesis of malate from glyoxylate and acetyl-CoA. This reaction is part of the glyoxylate cycle, which allows the bacterium to derive its carbon requirements from two-carbon compounds by bypassing the two carbocylation steps of the cytric acid cycle. This enzyme is up-regulated in response to phagocytosis and it is a virulence or persistence factor. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
