- IL-23p19 associates with IL-12b to form the IL-23 interleukin, an heterodimeric cytokine which functions in innate and adaptive immunity. IL-23 binds to an heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IL-12RB1 and IL-23R, activates the Jak-Stat signaling cascade, stimulates memory rather than naive T-cells and promotes production of proinflammatory cytokines. IL-23 induces autoimmune inflammation and thus may be responsible for autoimmune inflammatory diseases and may be important for tumorigenesis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA (direct or indirect): 1:2000-1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000 using ECL. Suggested blocking and dilution buffer is TBST with 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk. Suggested incubation time is 1 hour at room temperature. Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
