Weitere Details:: Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpes virus (KSHV) belongs to the gamma-(2)-Herpes virus subfamily and has been closely linked to the Kaposi’s sarcoma, primary effusion lymphoma (PEL) and multicentric Castleman’s disease. The genome of KSHV is 165-170 kb and contains at least 88 open reading frames. KSHV K8 and K8.1 open reading frames are juxtaposed and span from nucleotide (nt) 74850 to 76695 of the virus genome. A K8 pre-mRNA overlaps the entire K8.1 coding region, and alternative splicing of KSHV K8 and K8.1 pre-mRNAs each produces three isoforms (α, β, and γ) of the mRNAs. Applications: Western Bloting: 1:500-1:2000. Immunofluorescence: 1:200-1:1000. ELISA: Suggested dilution 1:10000. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
