- Myosin XIX is the founding member of a novel class of myosin that associates with mitochondria. Both endogenous Myo19 and GFP-Myo19 exihibit localization to mitochondria. Myosins are actin-based motor molecules with ATPase activity. Myo19 is involved in actin-based mitochondrial motility. Myo19mRNA is expressed in multiple tissues, and antibodies to human Myo19 detect an approximately 109kD band in multiple cell lines. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: paraffin Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human cardiac muscle tissue Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
