- Interleukin-10, originally known as Cytokine Synthesis Inhibitory Factor (CSIF) is an18.7kD protein of 160aa residues that shares over 80% sequence homology with the Epstein-Barr Virus protein BCRFI. IL-10 down regulates the expression of Th1 cytokines, major histocompatibility complex class II antigens, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. It also enhaces B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production. Knockout studies suggest that IL-10 is an immunoregulator in the intestinal tract. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.01ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Mouse Interleukin-10 recombinant protein Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
