- MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000. Human Vascular Endothelial (VE)-cadherin is a calcium-dependent adhesion molecule strictly located at cell-to-cell junctions. VE-cadherin is present in all types of endothelium (veins, arteries, capillary and large vessels). Cadherins are calcium dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells. Cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. VE-cadherin may play an important role in endothelial cell biology through control of the cohesion and organization of the intercellular junctions. VE-cadherin also associates with alpha-catenin forming a link to the cytoskeleton. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:10-1:20 Immunocytochemistry: 1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HUVEC cell lysate Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
