It belongs to DRAM/TMEM150 family. This gene is regulated as part of the p53 tumor suppressor pathway. DRAM has a pseudogene on chromosome 4. It is expressed in embryonic tissues and stem cells. DRAM1 is often found to be under-expressed in many tumor types. It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
