- B Beta-Lapachone is a naturally derived quinone with potent anti-cancer and redox-modulating properties. It selectively targets cells overexpressing NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1), leading to reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and apoptosis. In neuroscience, B Beta-Lapachone has shown promise in reducing cognitive impairment and neuroinflammation in amyloid-induced models. Its ability to modulate oxidative stress and suppress NF-K KappaB activation positions it as a potential neuroprotective agent in Alzheimer's disease and other oxidative stress-related neurodegenerative conditions.
