- Basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors have been implicated in cell lineage determination and differentiation. The protein encoded by this gene is a bHLH transcription factor and shares similarity with another bHLH transcription factor, Dermo1. The strongest expression of this mRNA is in placental tissue; in adults, mesodermally derived tissues express this mRNA preferentially. Mutations in this gene have been found in patients with Saethre-Chotzen syndrome. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Dot Blot, Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.2-2ug/ml Immunocytochemistry: 2-100ug/ml. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS. The cells were immunostained with T9300-02. Flow Cytometry: 0.5-2ug. HeLa cells were fixed in 2% paraformaldehyde/PBS and then permeabilized in 90% methanol. Cells were stained with T9300-02 or isotype control followed by Alexa Fluor® 488- conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
