- Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) is a dimeric plasma glycoprotein with high affinity for testosterone and estradiol. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and antigenic applications in immunological protocols. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Electrophoresis: One band with β1 electrophoretic mobility (cellulose acetate electrophoresis) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

- Supplied as a lyophilized powder from ammonium bicarbonate, pH 7.6. No preservatives added. May contain traces of buffer salts. Reconstitute with sterile PBS to a concentration of ~1mg/ml.
