- PSCA (Prostate Stem Cell antigen) is a cell surface antigen which is overexpressed in ~40% of primary prostate cancers and in nearly 100% of metastatic ones. PSCA is also overexpressed in a majority of transitional cell and pancreatic carcinomas. Antibody directed against PSCA inhibits tumorigenesis, slows tumor growth, prolongs survival and prevents metastasis in a preclinical xenograft model indicating that PSCA may have utility as a prognostic marker and/or therapeutic target in prostate cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
