- Mouse NTB-A also known as Ly108, SLAM6 and SF2000, is a 60kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the SLAM/CD2 family of immune receptors. NTB-A is expressed in non-terminally differentiated T- and B-cells, NK cells, macrophages and neutrophils. NTB-A is a 351 aa peptide containing a 209 aa extracellular domain and an 89 aa cytoplasmic tail. There is at least one mouse NTB-A splice variant that contains a 4-aa substitution for the 24 residues in the C-terminal cytoplasmic region. Over the region used as immunogen, the aa sequence of mouse NTB-A is 72% and 48% identical to the rat and human proteins, respectively. Applications: Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse NTB-A. The detection limit for rmNTB-A is approximately 5 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse NTB-A. The detection limit for rmNTB-A is approximately 0.3 ng/well. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
