- Nuclear factor kappa light chain enhancer in B cells (NFkappaB) is a transcription regulator that consists of two subunits, 50kD DNA binding subunit (p50) and 65kD transactivation subunit (p65/Rel1A). The p50/p65 heterodimer predominates in many cells types. p65 shows a weak DNA-binding site which could contribute directly to DNA binding of the NFkappaB complex. The inhibitory effect of IkappaB upon NFkappaB in the cytoplasm is exerted primarily through the interaction with p65 subunit. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:50 Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
