- IL-5 is a T cell derived haematopoietic growth factor, which stimulates eosinophil differentiation and activation. This clone may be used to neutralise IL-5 bioactivity in a functional assay (1,2). Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to use in functional assays. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Membrane permeabilization is required for this application. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry: Recommended Secondary Reagents: F(ab')2 Goat anti rat IgG:FITC (mouse adsorbed) F(ab')2 Goat anti rat IgG:RPE (mouse adsorbed) Western Blot: Recommended Secondary Reagents: Goat anti rat IgG:HRP (mouse adsorbed) Recommended Negative Controls: Rat IgG1 Negative Control Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
