- Applications: ELISA: Useful as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA for quantifying mouse IL-2 protein levels.1-3 Purified antibody may be paired with biotinylated antibody (Cat. No. I7663-27M5) as the detection antibody, with purified recombinant mouse IL-2 as the standard. Or, conversely, biotinylated antibody may be paired with purified JES-5H4 antibody (Cat. No. I7663-27M4) as the capture antibody. Western Blot: Useful for immunoprecipitation and Western blot applications.1 For Western blotting, a concentration of 1-5ug/ml (in conjunction with AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rat-Ig) has been found to enable detection of ≤ 100ng/lane of recombinant mouse IL-2 under reducing conditions. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
