- Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are a class of enzymes that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acid. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme which belongs to the class II family of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. The enzyme is responsible for the synthesis of histidyl-transfer RNA, which is essential for the incorporation of histidine into proteins. The gene is located in a head-to-head orientation with HARSL on chromosome five, where the homologous genes share a bidirectional promoter. The gene product is a frequent target of autoantibodies in the human autoimmune disease polymyositis/dermatomyositis. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 0.5-2ug/sample Western Blot: 0.2-2ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 100-500ug/sample Immunocytochemistry: 2-100ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
