- Human growth hormone (hGH) is a 191 amino acid polypeptide secreted by the pituitary gland in the brain. The hormone is critical for height increase and stature development before puberty, and is needed for maintaining healthy organ and vitality in adults. In childhood, insufficient hGH results in short stature and over secretion of hGH causes gigantism. hGH is regulated primarily by somatocrinin and somatostatin released from hypothyalamus in response to physiological signals such as age, gender nutrition, excise, stress and sleep etc. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
