- FAM3C (Family with sequence similarity 3, member C), also known as D6WSU176e, is a secreted protein belonging to a cytokine-like family. Members of this family share a four helix bundle secondary structure similar to that found in many cytokines. FAM3C is ubiquitously expressed in multiple tissues. The human FAM3C gene has been identified to be a candidate gene for autosomal recessive non-syndromic hearing loss locus 17. The amino acid sequence of mature mouse FAM3C is 97% and 94% identical to that of rat and human FAM3C, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml using recombinant human FAM3C Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml using immersion fixed A549 human lung carcinoma cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
