- DGK-E is a 65kD member of the eukaryocytic diacylglycerol kinase family of enzymes. It is a type III DGK that possesses only a C1/Cys-rich domain and a catalytic region, and is found in neurons and testis. DGK-e specifically phosphorylates arachidonate-containing DAG, and may downregulate DAG signaling that results from inositol cycling. Human DGK-E is 567aa in length. It would appear to contain one transmembrane domain aa22-42, two C1 DAG-binding regions aa59-108, 124-177 and one catalytic domain aa219-350. DGK-E apparently can form intramembrane oligomers. Over aa314-435, human DGK-E shows 99% aa identity to mouse DGK-E. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
