- Chicken CD44 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on many cell types, including B cells, most T cells, monocytes and some epithelial cells.1 CD44 primarily functions as an adhesion molecule. It has been implicated in various processes, such as hematopoiesis, lymphocyte homing, leukocyte activation, tumor metastasis and development.2,3 Applications: • Flow cytometry 1 • Immunoprecipitation 1 Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 0.2ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. PE/CY5 combination conjugate is used as a third fluorochrome in multicolor flow cytometry applications when only a single 488nm excitation source is available. Antibodies are covalently coupled using heterobifunctional linking reagents, resulting in an optimal conjugation format for flow cytometry.
