- C-erbB-2 oncoprotein is a 185kD type I membrane tyrosine kinase receptor and belongs to the EGF receptor family. It plays an important role in the control of intracellular signaling events which are crucial for cell growth, differentiation and survival. The overexpression of the erbB-2 proto-oncogene is associated with an aggressive human adenocarcinomas, mainly breast and ovarian tumors. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100 Western Blot: 1:500 Immunocytochemistry: 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
