- ADAMTSL-1, also known as Punctin, is a secreted glycoprotein resembling members of the ADAMTS family although it lacks the propeptide region and the metalloproteinase and disintegrin-like domains. ADAMTSL-1 is expressed in adult skeletal muscle and may have important functions in the extracellular matrix. Alternative splicing of the ADAMTSL-1 transcript results in three isoforms. Isoform1 is the longest and contains the entire isoform 2. Isoform 3 has the same sequence as isoforms 1 and 2 until residue 361, but a unique C-terminal end of 78 amino acids. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml using Recombinant Human ADAMTSL‑1/Punctin Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml using conditioned cell culture medium spiked with Recombinant Human ADAMTSL‑1/Punctin Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
