- Calmodulin is a small, highly conserved calcium binding protein found in all eukaryotic cells. With the capacity to bind up to four calcium ions, this 17kD protein acts as an important intracellular receptor for regulatory calcium signals. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Dot Blot: 1:400-1:2000 ELISA: 1:15,000-1:50,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
