- Human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a virus that causes respiratory tract infections. It is the major cause of lower respiratory tract infection and hospital visits during infancy and childhood. There is a prophylactic medication (not a vaccine) for premature (<35 Wks) infants and infants with congenital heart disease (CHD) or bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). Treatment is limited to supportive care, including oxygen. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Matched Pair: Capture: R1600-17E Conjugate: 227145 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
