- Wnt-1, formerly known as int-1, is a 343 amino acid non-glycosylated secreted protein associated with the extracellular matrix, involved in normal embryonic development and particularly linked with breast cancer. Wnt-1, which signals through binding to the Frizzled family of transmembrane receptors, was originally identified as a proto-oncogene implicated in carcinomas induced by the mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV). Wnt-1 belongs to a family of Wnt genes involved in the dorso-ventricular development of the mesoderm during embryogenesis, with a restricted temporal and spatial pattern of expression. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
