- CD25, the chicken IL-2 Receptor alpha chain (IL-2Ra), has been identified as the chicken homologue of human CD25 and is cited as ChCD25 in published literature. Chicken IL-2Ra is a cell surface expressed by activated T-lymphocytes, monocytes/macrophages and thrombocytes. Studies have demonstrated that CD4+ve/CD25+ve and CD8+ve/CD25+ve cells are up- regulated following infection with avian influenza virus (H9N2) and may therefore have an important role in the immune response to avian influenza virus infection. Chicken IL-2Ra is the low affinity receptor for Interleukin-2. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 AG14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
