- Preso, also known as FRMPD4 and PDZD10, is a scaffolding protein that is widely expressed in the brain as 140kD and 170kD species. It contains one WW domain (aa3366) one PDZ domain (aa78155), and one FERM domain (aa 204519). The 140kD species is enriched in postsynaptic densities where it interacts with PSD95, SAP97, SAP102, and Factin. Preso promotes dendritic spine extension and maintenance as well as excitatory synaptic transmission. Within aa8901022, human Preso shares ~94% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Preso. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
