- CD302 (also DCL1 and CLEC13A) is a 3136kD member of the Ctype lectin domain family of proteins. It is expressed on cells involved in phagocytosis, including neutrophils, monocytes, dendritic cells and macrophages. CD302 is suggested to facilitate phagocytosis, and participate in cell adhesion. Mature human CD302 is a 210 amino acid (aa) type I transmembrane glycoprotein. It contains a 146aa extracellular domain (ECD) (aa23168) plus a 43aa cytoplasmic region. The ECD possesses a Ctype lectin domain (aa32152) that apparently cannot bind carbohydrate. CD302 has also been detected in dendritic cells as the Cterminal portion of a 215kD fusion protein that involves DEC205. CD302 contributes aa23232 to the fusion protein. There is one potential alternative start site at aa 63. Over aa23168, human CD302 shares 82% aa identity with mouse CD302. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 0.25ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
