- The gene for CCL19 is one of several CC cytokine genes clustered on the p-arm of chromosome 9. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. CCL19 may play a role in normal lymphocyte recirculation and homing. It also plays an important role in trafficking of T cells in thymus, and in T cell and B cell migration to secondary lymphoid organs. It specifically binds to chemokine receptor CCR7. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Sandwich): 2-4ug/ml (assuming 100ul/well), will detect recombinant human MIP-3beta when used with biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human MIP-3beta (M1202-67) as the detection antibody at a concentration of ~0.5-1ug/ml. Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant human MIP-3beta is 2-4ng/lane, under reducing conditions. Immunohistochemistry: This antibody stained PBMC. The primary antibody was incubated at 5ug/ml for one hour at RT followed by a fluorescent labeled secondary antibody. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
