- Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 1 (VEGFR1) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is expressed primarily on endothelial cells and plays a role in vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. A soluble variant of VEGFR1 was also reported to bind VEGF and PlGF with high affinity and function as a potent VEGF antagonist. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml using recombinant human VEGFR1/Flt-1 Fc Chimera under non-reducing conditions only. Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug/10e6 cells in HUVEC human umbilical vein endothelial cells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
