- Human CKMM isoenzyme, also known as human CPK-3 isoenzyme, is normally responsible for almost all human CPK enzyme activity in healthy individuals. When human CK-MM isoenzyme is elevated, this usually indicates injury or stress to skeletal muscle. Activity: ≥10,000 U/ml Specific Activity: As Reported Unit Definition: One unit will catalyze the transphosphorylation of one micromole of phosphate from creatine phosphate to ADP/minute at 37°C. Protein: ≥5mg/ml (Coomassie) Isoenzyme Content: CK-MM: > 99% CK-BB: < 1% CK-MB: < 1% Contaminants: GOT/AST: < 0.01% LDH: < 0.01% Form: Supplied in as a liquid in 40mM Tris, 2mM DTT, 2mM EDTA, pH 7.5, 50% glycerol. Purity: Highly Purified Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
